What Is a BIND License (Account-Bound)?
A BIND license is a licensing model where the product is registered to your Microsoft account. The license lives in your account rather than in a key; as long as you sign in with the same account, you can re-download and reinstall the software.
In the BIND model the seller registers the license to your Microsoft account (or delivers a pre-registered account — clarify which before buying). Installation and reinstallation run through the account.
It is a practical model for people who format often or plan hardware upgrades: the license binds to the account, not the hardware. Keeping your account credentials safe is especially important in this model.
