How Is the Upgrade Done?

1. After your order, the upgrade key is sent to your email (usually within 1–90 minutes). The key must be used within 1 day of delivery.
2. On your computer, open Settings → System → Activation and click "Change product key".
3. Enter the upgrade key. Windows downloads the Pro components and completes the switch with a few restarts (usually 15–30 minutes). No format — your files stay in place.

Before You Upgrade a Windows 10 Machine

One thing to be clear about: this key adds the Pro feature set to a Windows 10 installation. It does not change Windows 10's support status. Microsoft ended support on 14 October 2025, so the machine stops receiving security updates whether it runs Home or Pro.

That makes this upgrade the right call in a fairly specific set of situations:

• An existing machine that must join a domain — for example a workstation being pulled into an office network where reinstalling Windows 11 is not practical yet.
• Hardware that cannot run Windows 11 — no TPM 2.0, or an unsupported processor generation. Windows 10 Pro is the highest edition that machine can reach.
• Isolated or offline systems — machines on internal networks where the lack of security updates is an accepted, managed risk.
• Software that is certified against Windows 10 only and would break on Windows 11.
